ANNOUNCEMENTS
Welcome to PreAP Chemistry... I'm glad you're here!

GOOD STUDY HABITS:

* After your syllabus packet is distributed in class, READ through the unit objectives.
* Take GOOD NOTES during lectures.  Leave a few inches blank at the bottom of each notes page to summarize the information contained on that page.
* READ the corresponding chapters in the textbook.
* ASK QUESTIONS in class!
* Work through example problems from class again, and do some problems from your textbook or the website as well.
* When you come in for tutoring, have a PURPOSE for your time there.  Don't simply arrive hoping to be told what you need to know.

REMINDERS:

* Success in PreAP Chemistry requires decent to above-average math skills!  It is recommended that you be enrolled in or have completed ALGEBRA II.
* You will not survive without a scientific calculator!  If the cost is prohibitive I recommend the TI-30X IIS (available at most stores for about $15).
* Turn in all required forms: The PreAP Contract, Lab Safety Contract, and Course Guidelines Acknowledgement.  Without these you cannot participate in any class activities!
